Nitrofurazone by Wholesale Koi Farm Nitrofurazone is an excellent Fish Treatment Powder for or Pond Water Freshwater Aquaria, Fish Tanks, Aquariums & Saltwater with new fish arrivals and is most effective in low pH, is not absorbed through the skin. Nitrofurazone is not recommended for use in reef tanks and may leave your water with a slight yellow tint after treatment is completed. The yellow tint will fade over time and with water changes. Recommended Dosage and Treatment: 1 – Begin with a 25% water change and remove any activated carbon, purigen or any other product in the filter. Removal of these products will help avoid interference with this treatment. 2- Dose 1/4 teaspoon per 20 gallons water. 3- Repeat daily for 5-days with a 25% water change daily. NOTE: Complete all 5 days of treatment to avoid unwanted goods becoming the treatment.
